Ingredients.
Curried Kumera and Lentil soup
2 tablespoons oil.
1 Onion sliced
2 Large kumera’s cut into small chunks
1 cup red lentils
2 teaspoons mild curry powder
5 cups chicken or vegetable stock.

Serves 4-6

Method
Heat your 5ltr Steel Fern Pressure cooker over moderate heat.
Lightly sweat down onions in oil.
Stir in lentils Kumera and add Curry powder
Stir in 5 cups of stock bring contents to the boil stirring often.
Lock pressure lid onto base and set to II pressure.
Bring to pressure, once pressure is reached reduced heat and maintain gentle steam for 10 minutes.
Turn pressure cooker off.
Then allow to pressure to reduce naturally.
Blend soup to desired consistency and serve with warm crusty rolls
